Background
KLP Group produces agricultural food products that require consistent drying to meet quality and shelf-life standards. As a growing supplier, the company sought to upgrade its production processes to access premium markets and comply with formal food safety certifications.
Challenge
Traditional drying methods were highly weather-dependent. During Laos's rainy season, uncontrolled humidity levels inside the drying greenhouse caused inconsistent product quality, affecting supply reliability. Without controlled drying conditions, meeting the stringent standards required for food safety certification was out of reach.
Approach
Sensornode installed an automated Smart Climate Control system in KLP's greenhouse drying facility. Sensors monitor temperature and humidity continuously, with ventilation fans adjusting dynamically to maintain optimal drying conditions regardless of outside weather. Advanced solar drying technology was integrated to enhance efficiency and process uniformity. Staff received hands-on training and written documentation to operate and maintain the new systems to hygiene and quality standards.
